Peritoneal cancer symposium in Lausanne, Switzerland, on Sep 3th, 2021

Dears colleagues, dear friends,

After the long period of lock-down, it’s time to resume academic activities.  We feel hence an enormous pleasure to welcome you all to Lausanne for the international symposium of the Swiss Peritoneal Cancer Group  (SPCG), which is endorsed by the International Society for the Study of Pleura and Peritoneum (ISSPP) !

Caring for patients with peritoneal surface malignancies has undergone tremendous changes over the last decade. New treatment options and multimodal approaches helped to improve prognosis and brought hope to patients and their families. The care providers face the challenge to define the optimal treatment sequence in a field where evidence is scarce and discrepant.

Time to get together again and have open discussions in a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere!  The symposium has a clear Swiss accent but also international flair
featuring key opinion leaders from seven different countries. The structure and content of the program should guarantee the active participation of the  audience and stimulating exchange between the different disciplines.
