The 2nd ISSPP congress, organized at the Sacred Heart University in Rome by Dr. Andrea Di Giorgio and Prof. Fabio Pacetti, was a full success. An exceptional organization allowed around 130 participants in the auditorium and another 230 online-participants from all over the world to enjoy a technically perfect hybrid congress. There were over 1000 accesses to the virtual congress platform during the congress.
A total of 70 faculty members presented the last scientific discoveries and the clinical evidence on diseases of the pleura and peritoneum. There were nine sessions, nine keynote lectures, four contradictory debates and 47 presentations. Moreover, 96 abstracts were accepted and presented as posters. The four best abstracts were selected for oral presentation.
