ISSPP new President is Prof. Rob Ramsay, Ph.D., B.Sc. (Hons) from the Peter McCallum Cancer Center in Melbourne, Australia. Rob is Head, Differentiation and Transcription Laboratory. Rob trained at the Queensland Institute for Medical Research in Brisbane, at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre in New York, and at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research in Melbourne. His laboratory specializes in transcriptional control, stem cell biology, mouse models of colon and breast cancer, radiation biology, and DNA repair, with a focus on the organ peritoneum. With three decades of research experience in cancer biology, Rob will foster ISSPP efforts in translational research and support peritoneal and pleural research performed by ISSPP members worldwide.
Prof. Marc Pocard, MD PhD, from University Paris Descartes resigned from his role as ISSPP President by the end of 2020. Thank you to Marc, as our society’s founding President, for his tremendous work for ISSPP and for his friendship.
